フランス・パリを拠点に活動するイラストレーター、Claire Brun(クレア・ブルン）さん。

彼女とは一度パリでお会いしたことがあり、出版された本を見せていただきました。

その瞬間そのやわらかな色合いとレタリングの可愛らしさに心を奪われたことを鮮明に覚えています。

彼女はパリの美術学校で学んだ後、ミラノでスタイリストとして経験を積み、

その後テキスタイルデザインを経て、現在のイラストレーションの世界へと進みました。

絵本作家としても活動されており、子ども向けの作品を中心に、

遊び心や優しさを感じる本を数多く出版されています。

また、学校でドローイングのワークショップを行うなど、

「描く楽しさ」を伝える活動も大切にされています。

彼女の作品には、そうした背景から生まれる魅力があり、見る人の心を癒すのだと思います。

Claire Brun is an illustrator based in Paris, France.

I had the pleasure of meeting her in Paris, where she kindly shared her published book with me.

I still clearly remember how instantly I was drawn to her soft color palette and the delicate charm of her lettering.

After studying at an art school in Paris, she went on to work as a stylist in Milan, gaining experience in the world of fashion.

She later transitioned into textile design, before ultimately finding her path in illustration.

In addition to her illustration work, she is also an accomplished children’s book author, having published a number of titles that reflect a sense of playfulness, warmth, and gentle imagination.

She is also dedicated to sharing the joy of drawing through workshops held in schools, nurturing creativity in younger generations.

Her work carries a unique sensibility shaped by her diverse background, offering a quiet beauty that brings a sense of calm and comfort to those who encounter it.
