ノバンとポジャギについて

ノバンは、韓国語で「ノバンジュ（노방주）」と呼ばれる、透け感のある薄い平織りの布です。
オーガンジーのように軽やかでやわらかな風合いが特徴で、主に夏用の韓服などに使われてきました。

ポジャギは、ものを包むための韓国の伝統的な布で、日本の風呂敷のような存在です。
さまざまな種類があり、布をつなぎ合わせたパッチワークのようなデザインは「チョガッポ」と呼ばれています。

Noban, known as “nobangju” (노방주) in Korean, is a light and sheer fabric with a soft texture, similar to organza.

It has traditionally been used for summer Hanbok, appreciated for its airy and delicate feel.

Pojagi is a traditional Korean wrapping cloth, similar to the Japanese furoshiki.

There are many types of pojagi, and patchwork-style designs made by joining small pieces of fabric are called “chogakbo.”
